Update regarding suspension of non-urgent elective surgery in private hospitals

In August, the NSW Government announced the suspension of non-urgent elective surgery in private hospitals.

The cessation of elective surgery has impacted rehabilitation admissions to Wolper Jewish Hospital. Accordingly, the Hospital has closed a number of beds and, some nursing, allied health and administration staff have been redeployed to assist with NSW Health’s emergency COVID response efforts. Wolper staff will primarily be assisting with telehealth, contact tracing and vaccination services.

We look forward to resuming normal services as soon as we are able to do so and we will update you in this regard.
